The AI video quality checklist: what to check before posting
Review AI videos for character continuity, product accuracy, readable captions, audio and disclosure before publishing. Includes a practical sign-off list.

In this guide
An AI video is ready to post when the complete sequence works at phone size, the character remains recognizable and the content says only what you can support. A sharp thumbnail is not enough to approve a moving image.
Watch once as a viewer
Play the video from beginning to end without stopping. Can you understand the opening, action and payoff? Does the ending arrive cleanly? Write down the first moment that feels confusing before inspecting individual frames.
Repeat without sound. Important context should not depend on a quiet voice or a song lyric that many people will not hear. Then listen without looking to catch abrupt audio edits, excessive levels or a cue that promises something different from the visual.
Inspect character and movement
- The face and signature silhouette match the approved identity.
- Turns do not change the character’s features or proportions.
- Hands, limbs and accessories remain plausible through the action.
- Clothing does not merge into the body or change unexpectedly.
- Entrances, occlusions and the final frame do not introduce a different identity.
Check the most difficult moments slowly, then return to normal playback. Some tiny frame-level imperfections are invisible at the intended size; others disrupt the entire scene. Make the decision based on the finished use, not a single enlarged screenshot.
Review products separately
Compare shape, color, logo, packaging and important features with the approved product references. Check which hand holds the item, where straps attach and whether a label remains readable. A fictional stand-in should be clearly presented as a concept, not as a real brand’s product.
Review every spoken and written claim. A generated demonstration cannot prove durability, health effects or personal satisfaction. If the video implies a result you cannot substantiate, change the idea rather than adding a small disclaimer below it.
Check the publishing package
- Captions are legible and clear of faces, products and interface overlays.
- The cover accurately represents the clip.
- Audio is licensed or otherwise permitted for the intended use.
- AI labels and commercial disclosures follow the applicable rules.
- The destination link opens the intended mobile page.
- The caption and call to action match what the viewer just saw.
Choose an explicit outcome
Mark the clip approved, editable or regenerate. “Editable” means a concrete fix such as caption position, sound level or a redundant opening. “Regenerate” means the visual itself is unreliable, such as a changing face or incorrect product feature. Assign an owner and retest the corrected export.
Keep a small sign-off record: file version, reference version, review date, reviewer and any limitations. For commercial work, separate creator approval from brand approval. A file sent for review is not the same as a file cleared for publication.
Use repeated errors to improve the next brief
If several clips fail at the same hand movement, simplify the source or supply the relevant product angle. If captions repeatedly cover the subject, leave more space in the composition. The checklist should improve production, not merely reject finished work.
Pair this review with the source-clip checklist and the disclosure guide. Preventing a predictable error is usually less work than repairing it at export time.
